I've been listening to a few of their songs, initially I thought they were pretty bad but I'm starting to like them. What songs and/or albums would you guys recommend? Are they a decent band in your opinion?

I love them but they depress me a little bit. I think mike ness has an interesting voice that you cant have too much of but in the end, couldnt do with out. Songs like "angels wing" are a bit much for me, I love it but again, they sort of depress me. Mike is great at folk though, I'm not a huge fan of his country stuff but he can do what he does and he is good at it.
I'm pretty back and forth on social d if you cant tell lol. I don't remember the name of the album, but the one with the dummy on it is my favorite, though "atom bomb" or whatever the song is really called "1987" or some crap like that is one of my favorites.

they have their moments, I like all the stuff they did up till bout 92. The later stuff is too pop punk for me. I like the early bratty hardcore stuff and the more country influnced post prison stuff. I like most of Mikes solo stuff too.

I like Mommy's Little Monster (their debut, which was recorded when Mike Ness was like 19 years old) quite a bit. Live At The Roxy is OK, too, especially for a live album.
Those are the only two I own by them.

Mommy's Little Monster
Prison Bound
Social Distortion
Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell
All great albums.
Those are the four albums they released before 1992, so I should just say that I agree with No pasarán.
