Hello.

It's quite clear that anyone on the far left is against imperialism. Most of the military actions we have been involved in with have resulted with a right wing ruler being placed into power. So my question is,what if we had gone around the world intervening in countries to install a left wing government instead of right? I know this is just idle speculation but I would like to know if marxists are against all wars or only those that install capitalist leadership.Because afterall even if its spreading leftist ideology its still imperialism right?

Thanks for your time.

That's still a big "fuck you" to the workers of these nations, who always got the short straw either way.
If you need to intervene to make it happen, then the nations workers probably don't have class conciousness and you shouldnt force it on them.

Uh... no. "Installing" governments requires you to be placing a minority in power, thus moving a few more individuals into the status of ruling class.

"The emancipation of the working class must be an act of the working class itself."
Karl Marx

This is because the working class needs to take over the instruments of class rule and abolish all classes through the abolition of the current class system (capitalism). It must do this by seizing control of the means of production (by means of workplace occupation, etc.) and establishing self-government (in the form of communes and workers' councils, etc.).

Isn't this what USSR did in eastern bloc?

So, I will stay at home. One day, the working class will knock on my door and say, "Comrade Pig, would you like revolution?" and I will say, "Not today, but come back tomorrow."

Look, we all want communism. It will be awesome. Still, what do we do in the meantime until communism is achieved?

I don't think we can have communism or anarchy in only one country. It just won't work in the existing world order. So, let's be a bit realistic and assume the geographic areas need some form of internationally recognized government or authority. What type of government is it good to have? I think a progressive leftist government is better than a right wing government or some other form of government. If we have the possibility to influence form of government in a place, I think we should influence towards the left.

There is the question is one of direct intervention of a state power or a group of people in some country other than their native one.

I don't think we should worry about this. Why should it be that, because I am born in one place and someone else is born in some other place, I should not try to influence his actions? Why can I not take action in solidarity with people of other places? Why should I tolerate the oppression of others simply because I was not born in that place?

They installed buffer states to bolster their power and deter attack. So yes that is imperialism. From a state preaching around the world pretending to be socialist

when spreading socialism comes into conflict with the right of all nations to self-determination, that's when the revolution dies. so yes, still imperialism.

No, you will either most likely be already at your workplace and some kind of labour dispute arises and shit goes down.

No, you will be out there doing your best to educate everyone, not limited to the workers, but of course they are of special importance, about the situation they are in, and try to support the worker's struggle to the best of your ability.

At least that's what all of us ideally should be doing.
