Does anyone have any more info about the specific actions or platforms of this group? I am very interested in hearing about how a group would operate organizing along the same lines as the Panthers in rural areas, but was it exclusively white? If so, how is this not racist as white people are not an oppressed minority in America, so organizing along racial lines in this case would be wrong. Also, how am I, a good Giants fan, supposed to support a group with a name like that:confused:?

Not all white political groups are racist.While there are certainly many (Neo-Nazis,Ku Klux Klan,Neo-Confederates,etc) racist groups there are some who just are simply proud of their race (Non-racist skinheads for example.....yeah I was as surprised as you).

Why would one show pride in their ethnicity? Only because they think that as a member of that specific ethnicity, they have something to be proud of because they think that ethnicity is better in some/most/all aspects than others.

But there is a difference between gay pride and ethnic pride.

I show pride,as a homosexual,not because I believe I'm superior but because there are people who activity try to convince people otherwise.When the homophobes say that I'm a freak or abomination they say it because they think themselves superior.To fight that ridiculous idea I say I have pride,that I'm not ashamed of who I am.I assume it's the same way within the black community (their fight being against white supremicist).

I agree that it's foolish to show pride for the way you were born if no one is activity persecuting you (To this extent I'd say it's a mystery why they are showing pride).However I still maintain that one can show pride without believing themselve's to be genetically superior.It's strange,yes,but fairly normal.

I don't know.I guess I'm looking at it from a generic perspective of someone being happy (proud) of the way you are born.Everyone else seems to be analysing it a bit deeper.I can understand your viewpoint though.

There are two skinhead variants.Variant #1: The racist skin heads.The white,anti-semit white supremicists and then there's skinhead variant #2: The none-racist skinheads who are proud of their heritage.

I got that information from a site that I think was called "Hate on Display".It showed the various symbols white supremicists stole from various cultures for their own use.It also provided the user with some basic discriptions of each symbol.I'll post the address sometime when I can locate the site again,it's been a while.

I don't think it's necessarily racist, just kind of pointless. I would not be offended by someone claiming straight pride, or possibly even white pride (actually I'm completely fine with like "ethnic" types of white pride, Irish Pride, Italian pride, German Pride whatever, but its pretty much only racists who say "White Pride" so someone saying it is obviously suspect). I would not be offended or threatened by someone claiming straight pride, I would just find it a bit ridiculous.

I think you're confusing pride with personal identity and being content with the body you were born with. Your personal identity is everything you identify yourself with; whether you're straight or gay, black or white, from a particular city, practicing a particular religion, conforming to a particular ideology. It's great if you're content with how you are, but pride takes being content a step further. Pride is the belief that one aspect of your personal identity makes you superior to other people who lack that aspect. Pride of anything is therefore only acceptable for oppressed groups, as a manner for them to escape from their oppression.

If they are a "white" political group, what makes them any different from the KKK or Neo-Nazis?

Those two are just "white" terrorist organizations/gangs.
