Arizona Sheriff threatens protesters

AP/Huffington Post - The sheriff of the most populous county in Arizona says he's "not going to put up with any civil disobedience" when the state's new immigration law takes effect.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that if protesters want to block his jail, he'll put them in it.
The Arizona law, which takes effect Thursday, requires officers enforcing other laws to check a person's immigration status if they suspect the person is in the country illegally.
Arpaio told ABC's "Good Morning America" he doesn't know "what the big hype is."
He says it's "a crime to be here illegally and everyone should enforce" the law.
"Nothing really is going to change other than the fact that if we come across an illegal alien that doesn't have a state charge now we can arrest them and book them into the jail or turn him over to ICE," he said. "We're not engaged in [racial profiling] now in all types of crimes we enforce. So what's the difference whether you enforce another crime, which is the illegal immigration? So we are very comfortable."


He is making it clear that anyone who stands up to him and this racist law will be thrown in jail.

The way some Americans see him is troublesome too. It's not an uncommon sentiment among some Americans that he is what a true law enforcer should be like- in other words one who isn't stopped by "technicalities" or "political correctness".

And he knows it too. The moment anyone tries to give him the boot for something I won't be surprised if the media goes apeshit over it.

Your right this is just the tip of the iceberg. His deputies murdered a mentally handicapped person, he uses chain gangs, and he has inocent people arrested for blowing the whistle on his savage practices. I have also read that he is corrupt beyond belief.
