I am reasonably new to socialism/communism and am not going to state many of my views as of yet and will instead lurk the forums atm, please will other ppl post thier views on here so i can get an idea of what others think, this may help me decide things myself as well as i am certainly ultra left wing tho im not sure yet on a couple of issues that communism would bring about, for example, although capitalism is disgusting and based on greed, if you took away that greed, why would people want to work, since to them working would gain them nothing, what if i worked all day and my neighbor didnt, we would both gain the same amount, this doesnt seem fair, true equality should be 'everyone gets the same for the amount they work' there are only a few issues like this but they really get to me, please tell me your opinions :))
Welcome!
The best way to learn is just to ask, so do participate in the discussions instead of just lurking around :)
As for my views, my views on what exactly? That's a rather big topic.

Welcome.
To answer your question in a very basic way: people's work would contribute directly to the community, so if you slacked off then the whole community would figure it out and you'll get a bad rep for being a slacker. There would be social pressure to do your part.

Except not state-sponsored with medals and hard manual labour... I guess...
Anyways that's how I always thought it would be like with no wage structure. I'm open to other suggestions though.

You might want to read this bit (http://www.marxists.org/archive/trotsky/1936/revbet/ch04.htm#ch04-4) as to why this isn't a brilliant idea.
