I don't know much about this but saw an interesting documentary the other day about the masses of unexploded bombs in Laos, still hurting thousands of workers every year. The war in Laos was obviously a part of the larger attempt at spreading influence in Indochina by several powers.
Books, articles etc, all perspectives (trot, ML, leftcom etc) encouraged, some geopolitical analysis of how Laos linked up with the war in Vietnam and with the political unrest in other neighbouring states is very welcome too. Much appreciated!

If you're interested in the so-called 'secret war' run out of Laos by the CIA, the a book by Christopher Robbins entitled 'Air America' is your friend.

Short article from the PSL: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia: A brief history of 'Enlarging the problem' (http://www.pslweb.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=5838&news_iv_ctrl=1042)
Kasama also reposted an old RCP article on Vietnam (and the interconnected struggle in Laos) which may be useful:

There was a secret wa4r in Laos.
The American secret intelligence networking, CIA, NSA, NASA, Denver produced missile systems, used chemical warfare testing in bombs.
Basically Lockheed martin and chemical warfare technicians in Amercas upper echelons got together and signed some deals to bomb
out South east Asia to stay ahead of the game.
