...and kills civilians, policemen:

After the leak of 90,000 classified documents on the Afghanistan war, we have learnt about the existence of a group called Task Force 343, a secret contingent of special forces that operate under the radar and report directly to the Pentagon. Their objective? Capture or kill Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders without trial.

The Task Force 343 used a list called a kill or capture list, also known as Jpel (joint prioritised effects list). The logs reveal the special force was used to capture, but on other missions they were told just to kill the target without making attempts on capturing them. The documents also reveal they killed civilian men, women and children during their missions not even Afghan police was free from them.

Quiet, brother; we must not speak out against such matters--it is not our place. Let us return to the fields and continue plowing.

Well, it's not like this hasn't been written about before. I wonder how far some of the media will go, but I doubt any of this will make much noise. Instead, I'm guessing the discussion will be about if the documents are "legally" available or not - because, after all, they are classified, and they are about protecting western rights against terrorists, right?

What happens when the terrorists read this? Then we will all be in danger! It's just a matter of time before Wikileaks will be stamped as a dangerous organisation, or something like that.

Afghanistan will become the new millenium's Nicaragua--the only difference is, we have no proxy states to fight our wars for us, so maybe Americans at home will pay attention more closely.

but as long as American Idol is on TV...
