Does anyone know any good sources for news on the activities of the TKP/ML TIKKO or any other armed communist groups in Turkey ? I've searched a lot but can't find any news in English. They're definitely active because there are some news results in Turkish which comrade google-translate tells me are to do with armed clashes including recent martyrs. But the translate is not too good for turkish so does anyone know any English language news sources that would cover these actions ? Or any general info on the current state of the Turkish PPW. Thanks.

Oh and have they now changed their name to Maoist Communist Party ? Or is this someone else. Hardly any information..

Im not too sure, Comrade. However, on the "Current Events" part of Wikipedia, there are a few updates about them clashing with the Turkish state.

The funeral of Cigdem Yilmaz was held in Sivas and the one of Ferdi Karacan in Tokat.

During the funeral of Cigdem Yilmaz slogans like “Guerillas don’t die, long live people’s war” and “comrade Cigdem is immortal” were chanted. Cigdem Yilmaz was born in Zara, Sivas in 1983.
The family of Ferdi Karacan brought him to the same Cemevi in Elazig as Cigdem Yilmaz (Cemevi is the place in where the Alevits gather and pray). From there he was brought to his hometown in Zile/Tokat.
The police suppressed the family who was waiting in front of the Cemevi. The police told the family “don’t bring your child to the Cemevi, we can take care of your needs and send him to Tokat, take him away from here these people will chant slogans”. This information has been given by close family relatives.
The body of Karacan showed many bullet wounds and it can be seen clearly that he was shot from close distance not from far away as the police claimed in their statement.
Afterwards a commemoration in behalf of the martyr’s was held. Representatives from different revolutionary organizations came and participated.
It was also recorded that during the funerals in the hometown from both of them intense police presence was all around the village.

MLKP is another armed socialist organization in Turkey. They are closer to maoism than other stalinist organizations although they identify maoism as reformist.

In Turkey, PKK is the main guerillaorganization but they are losing popularity among socialists.

DHKP-C is another guerilla organization, mainly known as people's front. They are not active nowadays, they are trying to strengthen their legal organization to reach workers.

MKP - maoist communist party was founded after a coup in TKP-ML. I heard that they were blaming TKP-ML for not being maoist enough (I'm not sure about that) so they had do found a new party. Both of the organizations are Ibrahim Kaypakkaya followers.
