depends on the test; I have a few different scores but I don't like talking about them because then people say I'm making them up, but...
on the test when I was sent to Juvie back in high school, I got around the 130 range
then I took a test 2 months later at the court psychologists office and got 150 exactly; I'm guessing from the other one prior that I must've was either rushed, or maybe I just did really well and got lucky on the last one.
then the last one I took a week or two ago was 162.
surprisingly though, I'm bad at simple mental math and basic science concepts, but excel in probability and Algebraic equations. I don't know how that works but it works out fine somehow.
maybe I just had a bad math teacher. idk.
so if people ask for my IQ, so I don't appear to be bragging, I'll usually give it between 140-150.

I have token one before and got a 145,but I like my new score :).
Here in the US, the average is 100. I'm getting a feeling leftists have a higher IQ ;)
However the first test I felt kind of rushed, I had to pee, and the instructors locked the door.
I'm like the opposite, the ones I missed where algebra, I was good at patterns, geometric questions, and science.
I think I did best in vocab, there was 2 historical-like questions. Those questions had jumbled up words and you had to make out if they where, UK ambassador or US president.
However, I'm going to brag, so these MLers can get whats coming.
I think my score quite high for a 16-year old...
All the shitty IQ tests I took online gave me 150-165ish.

or we could just all be lying :tt2: hence why I never like to give my real score or talk about it in public; people start thinking you make up shit at that point.

Is there anyway to make a proper IQ test from the web?
If not give me some low class tests' links.

According to the one reliable test I've taken, not on the internet but administered by a psychologist when I was in between second and third grade, I scored a 140 (150 verbal, 130 performance) on a test that measured to 150. From what I understand, any test that can claim to measure above 150 is probably inaccurate so I'd probably take results that high cum grano salis.

There's not one that I'm aware of that's free. However, if you want to take a Mensa (an organization limited to people whose IQ is in the top 2% of the human population) pre-screening test, there's one available on their site (http://www.mensa.org/). It won't give you a numbered score, but it will tell you whether you are a good candidate for their organization.

141 not on the internet but with a psychiatrist.
But who cares having a high IQ still doesn't mean i can fix a F-ing engine on my own.

i've been given an iq score a few times i always get over a 100 sometimes much more, but i don't think that iq has any really connection to intelligence.

I think it's funny how people assume Einstein is the smartest person ever alive. I mean, no doubt that he was brilliant, but brilliance is relative. I doubt he could maintain a philosophical discussion with Foucault and Sartre, much like how that pair couldn't do anything with theoretical physics.

From what I have read about and from Einstein, he was a pretty sharp guy all around, a Renaissance man of sorts. But you are of course right. This happens even with certain subjects. I, for example, am very good with arithmetic. Algebra, geometry, and the like, however, I find extremly difficult.
I'm not sure about the online ones, I actually had to go to a community college and take mine.
Oh and fuck you Glenn, I just want to know how high our IQs are, like if Anarchists may have higher IQS or not.

Maybe, but I have the sickness of trusting people. I'm quite gullible, so I assume most are telling the truth. Asides from the people how say they got a 47....

For all those who doubt the validity of IQ tests in being an ultimate determinant in terms of how smart an individual is, you're right to do so. Howard Gardner, a developmental psychologist at Harvard University, actually developed an alternative to the intelligence quotient binary as he was dissatisfied at the weight placed on test scores as a description of genius (or lack thereof). He claimed that there are actually eight types of intelligences, of which IQ tests only describe two. I don't know how much stock I put in his arguments as I've not delved that far into the actual meat of his research, but it's out there.
The Wiki article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_multiple_intelligences) on the subject leaves a little to be desired, as per usual, but it gives a general idea of what his findings and theories entail.

I've actually questioned the legitimacy of IQ tests, they don't focus enough on general knowledge and theoretical hypothesis etc, etc,

I don't think so either. IQ test is just a measure on how well you know things that have been biased towards a western audience's advantage.
EDIT: only 2% of the world has an IQ of above 150, and it seems they all are on revleft. :P

Not to be a dick or anything, but you're wrong, dragon breath. Only 2% of the world has an IQ above 130.81 on the Stanford-Binet Scale, which is the cutoff for Mensa admission.

What does membership for Mensa do anyway? I looked into it once, but it only costs money in return for some bragging rights, or something.

What really matters is if you can think creatively for me i have mostly book smarts and am not a very creative thinker.
Einstein was able to imagine almost anything by thinking creatively and clearly he managed to achieve far more this way.

lulz It was just something my father was fond of saying when he was harassing me about something. It means your breath is so bad it's flammable. Just a mild jab between friends is all.:)

Not much from what I'm aware. I mean, it's basically just a club for smart fuckers. I've looked into membership but never really had the kind of disposable income nor lack of social skills to necessitate buying myself a social life. The SF Bay branch (which is my area) does do some cool shit from time to time, but it's nothing I couldn't live without. Know what I mean?
