Where are you from, whats the leftist scene there like?
Marietta, Georgia 30 minutes north of Atlanta. Marietta dosent even have a chapter of the capitalist democratic party, thought that not really always a bad thing lol. Atlantas mostly dominated by petty-bourgeois radicals who write articles about the horrors of gentrification while sitting in condos that stand where public housing used to be.
- What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?
im a revolutionary socialist that believes the working class in alliance with farmers must seize state power and expropriate industry from the Capitalists.
- How did you become a leftist?
I come from Blount County, Tennessee a place with a long history of abolitionism, radical republicanism and militant trade unionism. I grew up with quite a few people that became pseudo-radicals and anarchists but unfortunately no real revolutionary theory or party seems to have broken threw the mountains. I first learned about Marxism when I was 13 and by the time I was 16 I had come to rejected the democrats and the communist party both of whom i had previous contact with. from 2006 to 2009 I was a member of the Young Socialists the youth Auxiliary of the Socialist Workers Party.
