so wait--why would it be a crime to record the police if the only thing they do is a non-racist, non-abusive good job? shouldn't the police be welcoming the videotaping, since they have such a stellar human rights record? :rolleyes:

fucking a. i was at a counter-demo in walnut creek(bay area) and the cops had at least 6 cameras all on the crowd. no one was arrested but everyone was on film.
oh, and i counted at least 6 grenade launchers(tear gas) the cops had when there were only roughly 300 counter demonstrators. in a very small place. overkill if you ask me
