Cowherd has a two hour special called "The Herd", I was glancing through and watched a segment of his show over lunch. He proceeded to talk about how sports no longer has antagonisms and that people(teams/players/organizations) merge instead of being hostile towards one another, so they all can be (somewhat) wealthy and sucessful. He also talks about how it's "human nature" to look out for yourself and be greedy and self-interested and how it's really about the have-nots pining to be the have's so they can become just like the have's--greedy and self-interested. He then goes on a bit of a tangent, and mentions how de-regulation more or less raped the economy and how, "You need to regulate rich people" because you "can't trust them, it's just the way it is".

Interesting to have a sports talk show host suddenly politicize class and raise class consciousness through a sports lens. Thoughts?

He may have explicitly said that 'rich people' have to be regulated because they can't be trusted, but implicitly he also says that 'poor people' have to be regulated because they can't be trusted. He obviously sees society as a war of all against all, with the state being a necessary body to stop people from slaughtering eachother.
