I think it might mean places that you can park and stay in one's car overnight without getting in trouble with the law.
Thank you mumbles, I don't really understand. Can't you park like.. just almost anywere, anyway? Is it similar to a trailerpark?
MKH (with comrade-y regards, how do you socialist greet in English btw?)

Well, I don't really know about outside of a suburban like environment I've grown up in, but I would figure it is meaning places like run-down parking lots and behind buildings and stuff like that in an urban environment. Places that might not draw too much suspicion if someone left their car there long enough. Because if you just parked anywhere in a downtown area, it would more than likely get checked out by the police. And no, it's different from a trailer park in that it's not an official place where people are supposed to stay.
I dunno if there's much of an official greeting. Kinda just depends on if you know someone well enough and have a history of greeting them with some sort of political greeting or if your organization has one, which I haven't ever heard about.
Haha, true that Takayuki. Kinda makes one wonder why they have a website for it. Unless enough of them care to use a library for this sort of thing when they aren't staying at a relative or friend's house.

its an faulty translation of the german word "wagenplatz", lots of squats in germany are actualy vacated lots that are squated with trucks, vans and mobile- or self build homes.
like this:

imaigine an traveller community but then most of the times smackdown in the midle of the city.
Bambule (mischief) in hamburgs st-pauli districs was an very famous wagenplatz and together with the roteflora center of the local squatting movement.

I don't think it is lifestylist to live in a squat. :/

It's not the idea of squatting that's being criticized (at least not by me), it's the idea of a website for it that doesn't make sense to me. But then again a website for leftists probably doesn't make sense to someone else. To each his own, I guess.
