Saw this last night. I read a lot about Latin America and U.S. Foreign Policy, so If you are pretty versed on these issues you won't learn anything new from this documentary. It's OK. I give it a 5.5 out of 10.

I think Oliver Stone barely covers the surface with these South American presidents. I would like to see more numbers, stats, and comparisons between U.S backed governments and the new surge of populist left leaning governments in the region.

I'm not sure if I would even recommend it to someone who's barely learning about South American's politics. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh.

One thing that's shown is the ridiculous media reports from the US. Fox News.. OMG calling Evo morales a dictator? WTF? When I see these news clips of lies I'm sadden because it reminds me that this is what we have to go against.

But of course the general public is not well versed in these issues at all. I have intelligent friends who know little about South America except what the corporate media tells them, and the corporate media tells them Morales, Chavez et al are dictators. Stone made his movie to counter that.

true! I think it's incredibly arrogant and disgusting for this upper class "journalist" and "correspondents" to get on TV and slander the presidents millions of people voted for.. It's like spitting in their faces and showing no care at all for any of the injustice they or their ancestors might of suffered at the hands of what these "journalist and correspondents" consider a "real democracy" or the "USA friendly presidents"

SICK..

I just saw an interview Tavis Smiley (PBS, NPR) did with him on TV this afternoon. While Stone denies actually being all that political, he sure uses a lot of the same vernacular and criticisms of American foreign policy as it pertains to Latin America that we do. Guy's sounding more and more like an actual socialist every day.
