I got this in an email and I was concerned about it's legitimacy (edited out the name until I know):
Hello. I have found your email through looking for Antifa groups within America. I myself live in Connecticut. Just asking to see if you know of any groups or people in my state that do fight against far-right groups. Here in Connecticut we got a group calling themselves the White Wolves and are prominently active in the southern part. Also recently for Holocaust Memorial Day three Neo-Nazis were holding a demo right by a synagogue in our State capital, Hartford. The most important thing is that people are not doing anything about it and somewhat, in my opinion, desanitize to the activities. I'm not sure how indepth your work is to the European and Russian counterparts however I will show my support wherever I can.

"European and Russian counterparts" sounded a bit dodgy to me. Try and look the guy up on facebook with his email address, be casual with him until you know he's legit. Its hard to tell, he may be the best comrade you'll ever get.

I don't have Facebook but I tried Google and Myspace and didn't find anything. That doesn't necessarily mean anything bad though. I'll try writing back and see what happens.

For someone who publicly posts their email address, I would have assumed you would have encountered this before and be able to make better judgments than other users.

I don't get too many emails. :( And if it's a Nazi trying to get some info they usually give themselves away after a sentence or 2.

Make a Facebook account for the purpose of tracking people? It's useful.

i got involved with some groups by sending an email just like that, except i wasnt so sketchy about it. follow the rabbit hole just be careful and dont say to much to soon. look up the events he described to verify his story, that might be a start.

Agree with above, you'll never know, this could either be the beginning of a beautiful relationship or the beginning of an adventure into fascism, either way is a fun ride.
