Well, the CP-USA made a fetish of illegal activity during the non-revolutionary period of the 1920s such that it tried to make its activities as illegal as possible. The combination of legal and illegal activity (like civil disobedience) should not be confused with pure illegality.

so much for "Freedom of speech" in America. Its more like "Freedom of speech...but only if you believe and say what we approve of first".

True, but it's never really reinforced in this country anymore due to the numbers of those who are openly Communist in the US.

True, but it's never really reinforced in this country anymore due to the numbers of those who are openly Communist in the US.

but the fact that that law even exists just exposes the hypocrisy that this country is holds dear. how is it freedom when you can't believe what you want if you aren't harming anyone violently?

It's bullshit. the law should be protested against just because it exists in the first place, as an insult to the supposed values of this so-called "bastion of freedom". (or maybe they only meant freedom to consume like a feral pig or to destroy native lands like a unbeatable plague)

I've heard florida laws are crazy against commies. Also, why do they use that useless and charged word "totalitarianism"?

The laws aren't enforced...but if Glenn Beck was president they would be.
Although perhaps that'll be unlikely...perhaps (if one is optimistic enough).

I heard the ex-chairman and presidential candidate for the SPUSA used it against chegitz, accusing him of "criminal communism" or something.

this is an invasion
