I know in the past I've brought up Community Councils before, but what i forgot to ask is what is everyone's definition of Community Council? What are its roles and its relationship to the work place?

I would assume its like a workers council that operates to plan and organize a community

A place for deliberation and a place for decision on community issues. It is the basic elementary institution of self-government. Although in anarchism, they're called communes and they're pretty much the same except they also manage economic issues.

I believe it to be a 'forum' of the community, where all discussion is generated for whatever situation. 'It gives everyone a voice', so to speak.

thank you for your replies =]

How should the relationship between community councils and the work place organizations be?

And what are community issues?

Workplaces and workers' councils should be integrated with these "community councils". One manages the local economy and one manages the local government. They go hand in hand, really.

Community issues are everyday problems that communities face. Basically these community councils should be the place where local laws and executive decisions are made, etc.

Think of them like parliaments and congresses and senates except everyone participates and they exist on smaller scales.
