When I came to RL I was still a stupid kiddo who thought he found out the ULTIMATE TRUTH that everything happening on earth has a cause and therefore it's unfair if someone gets everything and someone else gets nothing since everything is based on destiny. Only months later I realized that some other guys already thought of the same.
So I signed up on RL and did some stupid threads(more than these days), I remember everyone calling me a sexist for starting with "Gentlemen." but not Ladies. Lol
But now I have grown. Fuck this was all less than 1 year ago.

Ok. Here's mine.
When I was young,
And had no sense,
I took a whiz,
On an electric fence.
It hurt real bad,
And shocked my balls,
Then I took a crap,
In my overalls.
The end.

Well, if I'm forced to be serious, I'd say my views haven't really changed that much, only the way I self-describe. When I started here I was calling myself a non-doctrinaire communist, though I vacillated between that and calling myself a socialist in a vague and generic sense. Eventually, I started claiming anarcho-syndicalist, but that had more to do with finally getting my hands on literature that put words to things I had sort of always felt instinctually.
Beyond that, those who've been around since I first got here will notice a change in the style in which I write more than anything else. What I mean is, I give a lot less of a fuck what people think about me personally and have attempted to inject quite a bit more humor into my posts. Whether I've been successful at the last bit is debatable, but only insofar as your ability to drink a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up.:p

Well when I first got he.... oh wait, I just got here.
I've yet to embarrass myself, as far as I know, but I'm afraid to really commit to a strong opinion on anything before I actually know anything. I have only my principles to guide me so far and, honestly, all that theory and history really disorients and confuses me and in gives me a huge headache. I just can't read the volumes of material I used to, way back when I first started trying to wrap my head around anarchism.
I still consider myself an anarchist, without getting into specifics (anarcho-syndicalist? anacho-communist? hell I don't know!), but I'd have a much harder time explaining exactly why anymore, other than my stance against all coersion. I've got brain damage, so my memory, focus and attention span are all shot to hell. Yet I'm very eager to learn as much as I can, so please call me on it if I say anything questionable here.
Maybe before long I will have gleaned enough from these forums to be able to come up with a coherent question or two, lol. I might even get around to posting an introduction.
Until then Ill continue to read 100x more than I type.

lol this is basically my story, except backwards. I came here self-identifying as an anarchist, and now I'm an unaffiliated communist/"socialist in a vague and generic sense." Though I think I'm slowly creeping towards becoming a ML. One that still doesn't like Stalin, mind you.
Well, on further thought, it was more than just the way I describe myself. Some of my views did legitimately change, which incidentally means I find myself agreeing with MLs in some positions where I would've agreed with left-coms and anarchists before, such as on the question of national liberation, support for countries under siege by imperialism, etc.

Not to get this whole thread spiraling completely out of control into a theoretical debate, but that's what turned me off about ML in part, their take on national liberation. But that was sort of a small grievance I could have overlooked were it not for some other things I hear MLs saying that just rub me the wrong way on a personal level that don't directly relate to Marxist-Leninism itself. It's the tendency to try to retrofit data and observations into this Procrustean bed of what is "correctly Marxist," something I can't abide given my general distaste for traditional orthodoxies whether political, religious or otherwise.
Anyway, I don't wanna delve too deeply into that here, though. That kinda shit belongs in Theory, lulz.

Well, I came here a year or so ago. I had hugely underdeveloped politics back then, though I haven't really made any major shifts in terms of ideology. Used to have some Ml and trots sympathies, but lost those pretty quick. I was just a vague Marxist at the time and as I learned more I found myself falling in the Left com camp. And yeah, that's about it. Though to be honest, I am surprised at all the 13 year old users here, who have any resemblance of respectable leftist politics. When I was your age I was some weird Liberal Nationalist with a strange dislike of gay people. Would have gotten banned pretty fast methinks.

We're to hard and quick judging towards the young, I was a developed anarcho-syndicalist at that age and I'd be insulted by how much we throw around the insult "teen anarchist" and "14 yr old anarchist" as if young teenagers are incapable of proper politics.

I understand why people wouldn't want to just give away personal data on here as it pertains to very relevant fears about fascists getting a hold of it, but the state? I mean, c'mon. I don't know about other countries, but in the US we have this cute little organization called the NSA who are fully technologically competent and equipped enough to render all our attempts at personal security moot. Those guys guys are good enough that they could figure out who we are in about 47 seconds regardless of how well we avoid putting personal info on this site. Alpha Kappa's first name getting out wouldn't make two tears in a bucket's worth of difference.

I tihnk it's narrow minded to assume every teen is a stupid as that kid who dresses in black and spray paints circle A's everywhere.
