At home, I got a couple of viruses in the last month or so, even though I had Norton antivirus software on my system and ESET – both were installed on my system by my ex.

I am looking at antivirus software programs; I want to pay because my experience with free software has not been all so wonderful. I looked at a few and liked Cyberdefender and PC Tools.

I liked that Cyberdefender seems to be a more complete package, covering antivirus, Trojans, spyware, id theft protection.

ESET, also had a nice user interface, but I had a hard time figuring out which would be the best version for me.

I also liked Cyberdefender is a public company, but is it a good antivirus software program? Better then ESET?

I don't use antivirus software as I use Linux to which this is a non-issue.

When I was on Windows still I used AVG, but that was a few years ago.

I use Linux also, so I'm immune to viruses more or less. Theoretically, you shouldn't need AV software if you are careful. But any AV software is good.

Yeah, Avast and AVG are good. Right now I don't use anti-virus stuff anymore. Currently I just wipe my harddrive once a year.

Kaspersky internet security.
Bit of a system hog when booting but not so much when running.

AVG. It can be free and really efficient. It is also light (you know doesn't burden the pc so much)

download korean 알약 it's the best by far of the freebies. You might have to click randomly to get it through the install screen, but it shouldn't be hard if you use Windows much. I find the best, is prevention, stick to Opera or Firefox for internet, or just use all Linux.....or......as a last resort......Mac OSX

I don't choose the conventional way, I have each one pitted against each other the one that survives get's to be my anti-virus. Norton won.

Now try to turn it off temporarily, stop memory leak, or allow any real anti-virus software to work.

Avast or Nod32. What you could also do is get Sandboxie and run your internet browser in a sandbox (A quarantine all browsing data goes to)

NEVER INSTALL 2 ANTIVIRUS ON A SAME COMPUTER, ARE YOU INSANE?

norton will believe ciber defender is a virus, and cyberdefender will also believe northon is a virus.

what you should do is install 2 anti-spyware program and 1 anti-virus.
malewarebyte and spybot to eliminate spyware, and i recommand you avira. if you feel cheap use avg, work great.

also, you should configure your windows and have a user session without admin right, it will protect you from virus and spyware, or at least make it more easy to remove the spyware and virus.

a virus cant do much if he cant access your windows repertory.

by doing all that you should be ok.

Cool.

its an anti-spyware, i wanted to point this out, many people mistaken the antispyware for the anti-virus, mainly beccause anti-spyware like malewarebyte tend to detect and eliminate some virus, but its not built for that reason.
