A human needs based, planned economy, could, in theory make a reality of nickola tesla's dream and create a world where, electricity and internet would exist everywhere on earth. Think wifi and electricity as convinient as radio or tv signals. The possibilities are stagering, and only truly possible under socialism!

Well, how much energy would be wasted?
And how exactily would it be possible? During Thunderstrike the air is enough ionized to lead electricity, and this need extremly much energy. Can't imagine that it would work with small amounts of energy, and therefore not realy usable...

2/3 is currently wasted, but that can be improved. Besides, if we massively develop solar and wave power it might not matter.
Basically, radio waves are transmitted with the energy, and a receiver receives the electricity, its not like lightning.

Radio waves have a spherical wavefront they are transmitted to all points whether they are desired or not. To transmit supply power you must have specific points receive it and nowhere else. This is the entire challenge. It's easy to to do this with parabolic dish antennas, but getting rid of the dish is difficult. I would bet on a power system that uses conductors made of high temperature superconductors being found before a practical wireless solution is found.

I reckon Tesla was thinking too small. If one constructed an array of solar satellites and electrodynamic tethers (http://www.islandone.org/LEOBiblio/SPBI1ET.HTM) in orbit, one could energise the Earth's ionosphere, and any appliance wanting to tap into that energy could use a laser to ionise a path up there and close the circuit.

Don't know how practical that would be. The ionosphere is a big place, and it may require too many orbital installations to make energy extraction useful.

You have to look at what stopped Tesla back in his time. JP Morgan / capitalism. Even if it were possible (which I wont comment on) capitalism/ists will NEVER let anything that's so profitable become free.

We could give free food to the world, do we do that? Capitalism itself is based in the poverty of the masses. Capitalism will fight with nuclear weapons if needed to keep things from becoming free. The CIA, FBI, NSA, ATF, DoD and the entire military exists to keep the world in this false scarcity. The elite class cannot exist unless the rest of us are impoverished on a hamster wheel trying to survive in their game. Monopoly is such a great game. The only thing they left out was when you loose your money you and your descenders then become wage slaves working to pay the monopolists. Forever. Or you end up in jail.

What I heard was that as brilliant as he was as an inventor, he was a duff investment because he could not deliver on his ambitious claims.

i really do not believe tesslas theories have anything to do with communism. theyll be possible soon enough, faster than humans will evolve to a more sophisticated race, capable of seeing through propoganda.

Tesla's dream can be achieved by other method not though by Tesla himself. There are other methods of producing electricity and improving the present day power generation systems. Even there are methods of using atmospheric heat.
