View Full Version : More Beck Shenanigans

Viewing Beck a bit...

He is following fringe stories like the Oakland protest incident and he just talked about a bomb going off at an oil execs house in Houston.

And he's advocating his viewers becoming right-wing watchdogs? What the fuck?

[email protected]

Why is this man allowed on television, he literally is there to stir the pot, he is no different from Alex Jones

I would advise tomorrow more of us watch and see just exactly what he is up to. This man is literally Joe McCarthy 2.0. If you've got a fear, prejudice, or paranoia-- he's making sure you are feeding off it and becoming a cynical and aloof public.

This is the exact opposite of what we should do.

Glenn Beck is awesome. Make no mistake about it, he is the greatest thing to hit the Communist movement since Rage Against the Machine.

this is an invasion

I like Glenn Beck. Not because I agree with anything he says, he's just so goddamn ridiculous. He is the closest thing we have in America to fascist propaganda.

Glenn beck, and his followers are a great case for the concept, that some people are just plain and simply stupid, Glenn Beck I don't believe is stupid (disingenuous yes), but his followers ... Its just beyond comprehension.

I've been watching quite a bit of this deranged and deluded lunatics show as of late. How the fuck anyone can be brainwashed by the shite he slabbers is well beyond me. I've been trolling his Facebook page, as have many others, and the reaction from his sheeple is frightening.

He's a total scaremongering, lying propagandist. A true bullshitter intent on stirring up trouble between classes, races and religions.

His followers are all right-wing Christian extremist capitalists. It's all God this, Jesus that, free market here and blatant racism and sectarianism there.

His dangerous propaganda has been directed at race baiting lately. The last few shows have been about the New Black Panther Party and their actions from 2 years ago, and he is trying to stir up tension between white and black. But also I must say the NBBP are shooting themselves on the foot with their comments and actions as well.

I think its the other way around. He is an emotional manipulator, but hes not all that bright, by nature of the fact that he does, in fact believe in his statements - statements which are consistently void of any solid argument or fact.

On the other hand, his followers are skeptical followers of the Old Guard - they've experienced and accepted the worsening economic conditions, always blamed social economics or social liberalism, and the shallow, emotional crap of Beck plays to their heartstrings.

A lot of people, particularly the older generation, don't want to critically assess media. Its a lot more comfortable to hear the guy who raves about liberals and hints at race war and culture war all of the time.

Yeah Glenn it is a open and shut case .... Not one single person made a complaint to the authorities and no-one even hinted to anybody else that they where intimidated or harassed.

Funny also that when he first brought this up last week, there was no mention that Bush was in administration at the time, and Beck continued to lambast the Obama admin. for their lack or action, then the following day he must have found out that it was in fact the republicans and Bush in charge so he added Bush to his rant

For most of it he was sitting in his cozy little studio at CNN, praising the war and demanding we build a wall on our southern border and plant landmines.

Yeah, he's having a dig at liberation theology, despite him giving about 10 good reasons why it is an excellent concept. He's a hypocrite. A Nazi through and through. Goebbels would be proud.

He's trying to deflect attention away from himself about his racism, fascism and oppressive ideology.

Why is this man allowed air time ? Going back to the other thread about platform for fascists ... i'm sorry but his kind should be denied ALL means of being allowed to get his message across. He should be censored because the amount of people falling for his crap is unbelievable.

I was thinking about this concept recently, actually, and it does hold some water, especially when you listen to him talking about restoring "honor" and "traditional American values"...restoring some kind of mythical past is a classic talking point of fascists.

That's why he doesn't do public debates for, cos he'll get found out for the fraud that he is. And this is also one reason why he will never run for any office in the country.

one of the morning man of my local radio station is a fan of glen beck, wich is funny beccause most of the crap argument he use are badly derived of glen beck crap.

i usually listen to right wing talk radio for the lulz, and also to remember to myself the incredible hole those folks have in their logic.

For exemple, many so called libertarian love to talk about freedom, but they dont tolerate unions, they talk about freedom, and they preach about the private buisness, even tho the structures of buisness are usually the antithesis of feedom itself.

the only thing i find creepy is that, some people actually listen to that crap, and believe it.

Stephen Colbert

It's freakin me out that Beck's show flashes a black screen and white block lettered all capital words with things like "SOCIAL JUSTICE IS NOT BASED ON LIBERATION THEOLOGY".

It's literally parallel to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agrke9hpfQY

You know sometimes I wonder if he does believe in his own statements, but I guess if you've made up your mind already, and are just fed with the same stuff over and over again, its plausible.

On the other hand, his followers are skeptical followers of the Old Guard - they've experienced and accepted the worsening economic conditions, always blamed social economics or social liberalism, and the shallow, emotional crap of Beck plays to their heartstrings.

But even emotional stuff needs to be based on some logic, or not, it just blows my mind that anyone takes him seriously, and I hate to say it, but someone who can be emotionally manipulated so easily without any logic or reasoning is kind of a moron, maybe I'm being naive.

...and I hate to say it, but someone who can be emotionally manipulated so easily without any logic or reasoning is kind of a moron, maybe I'm being naive.

I think a lot of people are afraid of capitalism and where it's taking the world but they don't recognize their own position. They are led to believe with the help of sensationalized media that the solution is simple and that the goal can be obtained effortlessly by drawing inward and becoming intentionally disassociated with ideas and not extrovertedly involved in the exchange.

They are led to believe that the entire world outside of their nation is less than them and not really important until it 'tries to attack for reasons unknown because we're innocent'

A relative I know was crippled by the 'September 11th' attacks. She was disassociated with the ideas surrounding it because she was told that ideas don't matter- what you see is what happened and always remember it but not what caused it. Had she access to social exchange of ideas she would have seen the carnage of US bombs and what war really is.

A US war isn't American men and women dressing up in combat uniforms and standing around doing interviews for a while. They do the same thing their adversaries do.

There are stupid people that likely buy into it and I'm sure these people make up a majority of Beck's followers. I had an ex police officer (he was discharged from service both military and police if I remember correctly) tell me once that the plastic and trash dumped off the aircraft carrier he was on was fully acceptable because trash turns into coral reefs. Coral is a living organism. I don't remember if he ever mentioned Beck but he was a sucker for the suspension of disbelief.

Well today's episode just showed how much of an unbalanced character he really is. I was worried for his mental state. He kept going off on one, doing 'impressions', 'funny' faces, 'funny' voices and being totally incoherent. He then passed out a few cans of root beer to his camera crew and one for himself and began to sip at it a few times. He continued to really look and sound unstable.

He craved the attention he was apparently receiving and just acted the fool.

His shows must really reach out to the lowest denominator, and how he is taking seriously by these brainwashed folk is a worrying sign, especially as Obama is on the rails a bit.

What's even worse is that he had MLK's niece on his show last month and she denounced that MLK was for social justice and for a fairer distribution of wealth, but Beck had this woman nodding in agreement. It was a sickening sight.
