its a damn shame when harmful companies, such as BP can't take responsibility for their actions.

But of course crap like this has been going on for the longest.

besides, i dont think its breaking the law.
as far as i gathered from the short piece of the news segment on the top that i watched; they made it illegal/almost impossible for journalists and activists to take more of these kind of pictures, not to watch those made in the last weeks.

For our american comrades who are not able to view this.

It is truly disgusting what BP has done and it is perhaps equivalently disgusting what the gov has done to the freedom of press by banning such photos and by banning people from exploring these areas and taking pictures... My hope is that we'll be fortunate by having this oil mess cleaned up in 10 years... but they are now saying that the dispersant used causes the oil's density to change so that it sinks... which means two things... a. less oil appears on the surface, so it looks better than what it is... b. the oil along with the toxic dispersant get to go swimming through the water column affecting and killing anything that they come in contact with...

Could a mod be so kind to move this to a forum where it gets more attention. Especially for all the americans who aren't allowed to see this. Spread the word!

everybody print out one of these photos and tape it up somewhere with the caption "the effects of capitalism" and a link to the original photo. much good propaganda. at least one good thing can come from this.:thumbup1:

In the event that a mod is waiting on the OP's permission to move this thread I say go ahead and do it. (because I'm the original poster)

This could be sticky'd somewhere too.

Shits ridiculous. Now they have a cap on (with chances of working) and they seem to be inching closer to actually stopping the leak. I have no doubt that when the leak is stopped, there will be aspects of the media showing BP as the "heroes" in saying they stopped the leak.

BP and every violently destructive industry has these scenarios planned out to a science. Every ounce of misinformation given to the media and to the government was intentional- every single move.

This is the industrial monster we have to face down.
