Not sure if this is communism or socialism but its just an idea I had.

basically it helps to think of this as an island of 100 people rather than a country.

but bascially everyone on the island contributes to the island. Workers build schools, hospitals, etc...all without pay

people work in these places without pay. Eg: teachers educate the kids but for no money.

The kids will grow and adopt jobs like the previous generation, where payment does not exist.

In return for all their hard work, all their food...clothes...housing...medical..electricity is free from the government (who get these items from the workers, who work without pay)

I guess a downside would be, without money, we could afford nice shit like cars and iphones but it probably would make life a bit more simple.

Does this relate to communism or socialism in anyway...and is it feasible...more importantly...could we exist without consumer products?

This is basically Communism/Anarchism, and is pretty much what most Socialists work towards achieving.

We could easily exist without consumer products. Did they even exist a few hundred years ago?

define consumer product.

my definition of consumer product is a product that had some kind of transformation so it can be consumed.

I guess I meant all of our iphones and big screen tvs (stuff that arent necessary but are nice)

but also, could computers and the internet be classed as luxury goods?

would a modern communist govt supply them to its people?

There is no reason to abandon luxury goods. The society you describe would not need so called "structural waste" necessary to run capitalism, and it would be subject to collective planning. Therefor it cold easily produce luxury goods at some degree at least. The point would be that the goods are meant to last and to be used. They are not to be pointlessly consumed, saving myriad precious raw materials, and parts.

That's what communism is, in general. The specifics are a bit more complex though but in a sense this is what communism, the state of society, is.

yes, why not?
