Is nice to know that there are still left some communists around. I live in a country that came out of dictatorship about 20 years ago, but there is no democracy yet. We are still not organized but we will. I really hope that there will be some help and advise around.

Welcome! I'm learning about Hoxhaism now. What would you say is the most prevalent attitude toward Hoxha in Albania now?

As the OP talks about the dictatorship that ended twenty years ago, for some reason I don't think he's much into Hoxhaism.

Who said he was? Hoxhaism was mentioned obviously because Enver Hoxha was Albanian.

At any rate it's always good to have a comrade from a former socialist country.

Yeah, I got the feeling that some had the idea that the OP must be a Hoxhaist given that he's an Albanian, hence my comment.

Uh-oh

The election of Obama has brought a great change to the world. Now the ideal of a just society is not recognized anymore as "dangerous" and alien. Maybe it doesn't show yet, but there are going to be great things in the future. The society is destined to the communist idea; there is no other destination. We should organize because there is a lot of reorganization on the fare right. But this is easier sad then done.

Obama has "brought a great change to the world?"

Ok.

But he's right. I don't think Hoxha's party ever actually claimed to have reached socialism either, did it?

I barely remember the labour camp discussion. For the most part, I refrain from holding grudges against people after a debate or heated argument, and I hope others have the sense to do the same.

I just wanted to say hello and introduce my self. I'm a journalist, but now working for my self on television and multimedia production. I have known "communism" directly and even with it's great mistakes, I'm still believing in the idea.
