took 2 Kadian (10 mg each) which is pure oral morphine, and now, 12 hours later, I want to take 3 M365 (5mg hydrocodone, 360mg acetaminophen) pills.
genuine curiosity; no I'm not a druggie, It's just the summer and I got lucky with a stash and shit is hard lol so yeah.
is this safe, or is this too much in a 24 hour period?

probably too much... even if you were to drink a lot of water with them, it probably would be too risky... so just don't do it

It's very dangerous. Bright young minds like you shouldn't be dealing in this immoral behaviour.

lol :P I took them anyways after reading my pharmacology reference book; no contradictions. won't cause serious harm esp. since the time frame was so far apart.

I like how you think that someone on revleft would be able to give your comprehensive medical advice.

lol no, I was more just hinting that I wanted to know if anyone has experienced this and has any anecdotal stories to share. when it comes to pharmacology advice, I use a textbook I bought at school or Erowid.org :)
However, I did it anyways, and I can barely feel my arms...or anything for that matter.
They are both opioids, so I don't really see what the basis would be for any kind of dangerous interaction. Be careful with this shit, though. I cannot tell you how many people I have known who've gotten hooked on hydrocodone from using it a few times and ended up moving onto smack.

guess not. what I'm more surprised is there isn't a single pharmacology student, or any ethnobotanists

There might be. I'm sure there's at least one pre-med student, at the very least.

I'm not an expert but opioid tend to have synergy amongst drugs of their class.
The more opiates in your system the more likely negative complications could arise. Err at the side of caution, unless you are a risk-taker than do it.

I suggest you take 500 grams of paracetamol, that should counter any effects.

Since you asked, I do have some experience with this sort of thing. All I'll say is that I've taken alot more shit at once than that and it never killed me, although there were times I threw up. I wouldn't fuck around with pharmies too much, though. You will end up a junkie.

That's totally fine.
20 mg of morphine orally is almost nothing, not enough for even a lighthigh. 15 mg of hydrocodone is going to be a light high, but the morphine is already 95% out of your bloodstream, so that's hardly going to make an impact.
3 x 360 mg paracetamol isn't going to kill your liver either. Just make sure not to take more than 4000 mg of paracetamol in 24 hour period.
I'm an opiate forum lurker and I have painkillers prescribed, so, I know my stuff.

opiates are for the weak. why do you want to feel like human goo. take some acid and walk in dark alleys or if someone put a line of coke on the table snort it and party like a man (although never buy coke only if someone offers it)

Coke is perhaps the most bourgeois drug ever. This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4-Fluoroamphetamine), on the other hand...

Just don't drink with them, or use benzos. (Xanax, Valium, etc.) First, to piggyback off Greyscare, mixing acetometaphine with alcohol will kill your liver. Second, combining central nervous system depressants is bad, period.
None of this is to say that perhaps one or two vicodins and a beer or two isn't a great way to unwind on a weeknight. No more than that, though. This is not the kind of thing you want to learn from first-hand experience.

Well, to be fair, Adam Corrola had a great observation.
"A pill is like a seed you plant in your belly, and when you fertilize it with booze it grows into a mighty fucked up tree"
Seriously, don't do that though.

i view opiates like a nice big fucking delicious cake. you don't want to eat it every day of your life, but god damn is it good when you get to dig in.

And those of us with shitty impulse control have to avoid cake entirely or else we'd inevitably become huge fatties. I've seen enough huge fatties in my life to know to stay the fuck away from cake.

I've flipped before, and I have taken LSD by itself before...it helped me cope with certain things, but I think I have no need for it anymore. to use LSD again would be like taking a 2nd grade math test again...there is nothing new it can teach me.

Lucky bastard. I only live about four hours from there as the crow flies, but for one reason or another I've never seen fit to get my sorry ass down there. I'm not generally the outdoorsy type, but the kinds of things you probably saw there kind of override any "city boy" misgivings I might have about that sort of activity.

you really should; it's a truly amazing experience to wake up and see yourself surrounded by redwood trees on all sides. I went off the trail a bit by a mile or so and camped in the deep woods. we brought a flare and shit just in case, but otherwise, the total isolation and the mood of reflection that it brought was deeply enriching.

And the ferns, and damp ground and all that shit... That's why I really love redwoods. Every time I'm among them it feels like I've been transported to the movie Fern Gully. Eventually I will for all the reasons you've mentioned.
I've seen some redwoods, although much smaller ones than the ones you're talking about, in Golden Gate Park and on UC Berkeley's campus. At the risk of sounding like a hippie, standing there in awe of something so magnificent it kind of makes your stomach turn to think that someone else could stand there and think, "Now that would make a great looking coffee table."
