Not the same thing. I've always hated my body because it in no way represents me. I've always hated what I saw between my legs because it just shouldn't be there. There is no "effective therapy" to make girls like me comfortable with our birth sex. Transitioning for some of us is the only alternative to suicide. Before I started transitioning I just wanted to die. Now, I'm happier in this transition.
