Can anyone recommend me an unbiased book on the contemporary North Korea?

I guess it is hard to find books about it in general since access is highly restricted/strictly monitored. This would probably make it hard for researchers to conduct studies.

I only came across a few books but not sure if they're reliable and just. I'm kind of looking for an objective view on North Korea, supported by facts.

Try North Korea: Another Country by Bruce Cummings.Definitly agree here, but its funny how when people try and do 'unbiased' works on North Korea, they are immidietly accused of supporting them. So has Mr Cummings also faced that fate sadly.
