When it comes to liquor I like Sambuca, Grappa, and Frangelico. Sometimes I like to take shots of Absinthe.
When it comes to wine, I like red and I like it cheap; although in the U.S. I prefer malbec and such.
When it comes to spirits, I like vodka, tequila, and rum. I like Russian Standard and Grey Goose; but Stoli is nice and cheaper. I like aged/brown tequila and rum. Havana Club and Legendario are good rums, although I've only found them in Europe. I haven't tried much whisky, but in my limited knowledge I'll say Irish whisky is good.
When it comes to beer, I love Murphy's Irish Stout. After that I like Sam Adams (APB style I think) followed by Birra Peroni and Cerveza Presidente.

As many of you probably know from the drunk thread I am a drinker of vodka. It is what I started out drinking when I was a kid and continues to be my favorite. More recently I have really started liking rum though.

oh god, heineken is the most overrated beer over here. i remember in parties at high school whoever brought a case of heineken was the shit, even though the beer is mediocre.
i enjoy maudite, fin du monde, noire de chambly and pretty much anything else brewed by unibroue. it's top quality beer that comes in high percentage (9-11%) for not a lot of money and it comes in champagne bottles:D
http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/MauditeVert1.jpg
My friend also brews some good mead.I'll most definitely second this comrade. A friend of mine also brews his own mead, and it is lovely. It is really sweet and flavoursome, and doesn't really actually taste alcoholic even though it's around 15%. And to the OP, earlier I had some really lovely lychee liquor.

Heineken is cheap.
No way! Heineken is one of the most expensive beers ive come across, almost twice as expensive as other beer.
For beer, i like: Four Lokos and Steel Reserve 211. Those are 'hood drinks. Theyre strong as fuck too.
Nothin beats vodka and O.J. Its good and it messes you up real good.
I doubt any of you are man enough to drink Bacardi 150 straight :p All i remember after drinking several ounces of it was that i almost passed out and a guy was hanging over a wall for a couple hours:lol:
This is the most powerful shit i ever had (68% Alcohol by Volume). Quite good too! :

Pirate Utopian is in Holland...
In the U.S., some imported beers that have high prices are really cheap standard in their country of origin. For example, Peroni Nastro Azzuro and Moretti (You can fine large cans for 1 euro of these) are cheap beers in Italy yet will always be expensive (relative to Presidente, which is similar tasting to Peroni; and obviously relative to most local beers) in the U.S.
When it comes to malt liquour, I have a taste for colt 45 from a bottle.

I drink everything (mostly everything, I guess) and enjoy it-- from wine to whisky and everything in between.
For beer I pretty much gravitate towards craft brews from Rogue and BC craft brewery beers. Unless I'm broke, then I just drink shitty stuff that isn't worth talking about.
For whisky, I usually only drink Bourbon, I like Maker's Mark and when I can't afford that I'll drink Wild Turkey.
Wine, I'm not very specific about, but I like Argentine and Chilean wines because they're coming out with some great varietals and they aren't expensive (yet).

I think its different for every country, here in Holland I would suggest Jupiler. Easy to drink beer and widely available but because its Belgian still trendy an hip

I honestly don't think we have one in Britain.
Red Stripe tends to get sold at lots of music venues and indie clubs, but I wouldn't say it's particularly a hipster beer.
I've noticed lots of socialists are real ale fans, which is cool.

Polish buffalograss Zubrowka, or Polish Potato Vodka (specifically, Chopin brand); We Russian's don't even drink our own shit, we prefer Polish vodka to our own commercially hyped crap, because often times, Polish liquor doesn't leave you feeling poisoned (i.e, NEVER EVER drink Taaka or Popov--these are what I like to call "pennywise alcoholic" brands) and it goes down straight to the gut like a good Vodka should, not lingering on the throat.
When it comes to beer--give me a good Mexican beer (Corona and Tecate work for me), or an Asian imported (Beerlao and Singha are both good brands)

it is truly the nectar of the gods. i recently found out they also make a cider and a scotch ale, so that's what i've been drinking for the past few weeks. in montreal its considered customary to drink your booze and have your smokes in the alley behind the store you bought them in, which came as a shock to one of my friends who came from toronto a while ago:D

I've quite a taste for gin. It's quite nice and needn't cost the earth for a decent one (unlike, say, whisky where the worthwhile bottles start at 20-25 quid and go up from there).
