The thing though, is that the ruling class has taken up power on the backs of the lower classes by convincing them that they want what the higher class wants. And they've done this with rhetoric simply because the majority of people would rather just sit back and watch the world go around rather than being the kind of person who helps the world to go around.

Therefore, if you teach the middle and poor class of America that there is something out there that is better and that by doing personal research, one can truly be free.... then you can finally end this hell that has been going on since the creation/evolution of Man.

Well, yea, but mocking the nationalist sentiment of the holiday is quite understandable. The majority of people who celebrate the 4th of july likely haven't a clue of the nature of the american revolution, nor what historical connotations it holds. Sure, you could proclaim that the holiday is merely a celebration of the american revolution, but let's be honest, it's much more than that today. Wouldn't seem odd to the average 'american' if someone were to celebrate the fourth of july (as a celebration of the revolution) and at the same time oppose the US government?

I'm of the opinion that the politics of it all don't quite matter, because the fourth of july is really the only time of the year where I can blow shit up and fuck around and not get the cops called on me. :thumbup1:
My family and friends all shot roman candles everywhere and then we made a bonfire in the street by making molotovs out of the empty beer bottles. I'd say this can be a pretty tight holiday; but it still means nothing more to me than Christmas or Hanukkah or... fucking Columbus Day.
