Hello comrades, just to let you know, the CPUSA is developing new tactics based around broad socialist cooperation in shared fronts. They're planning on holding a meeting in the SF Bay Area in late July to test the waters, and asked me to put this here. If you're interested in attending, send me a PM.

Perhaps you could elaborate on what you're talking about a bit, although I (and most people on here) am quite suspicious of that party. Still, curiosity killed the cat.

Ha! The CPUSA just had a convention and is doubling down on its long-term orientation to the Democratic Party. According to the pre-convention discussion documents they're leaking like a sieve (they've gone from 2500 to 1000 members in the last 5 years) and the local leaderships are probably trying to stem the worst of it with some new networking and recruiting.

Networking is more like it --- they're not Sparts. There are a lot of older, less active members, while the younger are interested in joining up with other socialists to do some work around supporting the labor movement. This is a local not a national initiative.

You should elaborate on what exactly this "meeting" consists of - is it listening to a bunch of talks/panel discussions, is it sessions getting community input, what exactly do you envision it being?

It will likely be an informal thing at their HQ, gathering input / assessing interest in creating certain fronts, like for instance a student-labor alliance, or a division of volunteers to work with the alameda central labor council, etc.
