Meh. I'm more into rappers with good beats and flow.
And who dont pose as a revolutionary on one song and spew some sexist and homophobic garbage on the next.
Not having lyrics full of nutty conspiracy theories helps too.

Immortal Technique is terrible. He is not "politically articulate", he thinks George Bush is part of some New World Order Conspiracy that was responsible for 9/11, and he likes to rap about it. Yes sure he raps about how evil corporations are, but so do tons of other rappers. Besides he has absolutely no flow whatsoever. He's barely even rapping in that video you posted he's just talking over a boring beat. He's also a homophobe.

Ah well, if you can link me work by any rappers without any reactionary baggage whatsover feel free to do so.
It makes a change not to hear rap music not containing mysoginy and irrelevant celebration about worker on worker violence and the excesses of privilege.

No offense to the OP, but political hip hop always seems to have the most awful beats.

it probably does but the genre in general also produces awful lyrics which is why i appreciated this particular song

The Coup again. Gotta love that funk.
Plus (early solo) Ice Cube and Public Enemy had those cool Bomb Squad beats.

"Conscious" hip hop (which is a stupid term) with a fantastic beat, great lyrics and incredible flow (at least Mos Def):

Mos Def's verses in that song are seriously some of the best I've ever heard. He really understands that rap is poetry interacting with the kick and snare.
