It was a pretty good interview, I liked how he acnoladged in the beggining that he gave up on reformism early on in his life, and his putting international perspective on criticisms.

On wonders how much worse off Chavez and Venezuela would be without the huge wealth of oil (Chevron) flooding the country.

Chevron put the oil there? One wonders how much worse Venezuela would be had the oil been controlled by the market (aka Chevron) and not by the public, oh wait, one does'nt have to wonder, just look 20 years ago.
Watch the interview Bud.

He dodged the questions about political opponents. He also didn't immediately catch the softball "how long will it take you to build YOUR revolution," and instead had to explain that he meant service to socialism and democracy.

No he didn't. It took him a while to answer but he did. Stop lying.

Citgo is the US brand for Venezuelan oil. It is 100% owned by PDVSA, Venezuela's state-owned oil company.
One should look at how oil wealth (or reliance) has influenced nations like S. Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan. The social ramifications of the presence of oil vary greatly.

Who needs capitalist propagandists who are paid to lie about Chavez and Venezuela when you will always have so-called leftists who will do it for free?
