... and leftist activism. Do they contradict each other? If so, are minority activists playing into the hands of the bourgeois?
On the other hand, minority activists argue that capitalism isn't half as oppressive as the discrimination they have to face as minorities; and hence, their priorities only revolve around protecting their community rather than worrying about their situation from the capital vs. labor angle.

They argue that? Who?
Wouldn't a gay rights activist be more interested in ensuring freedom for his folks than in fighting for communism? The same goes for other minority communities that have neither the time nor the motivation to do anything other than protecting their community. So why would they care for communism when they have their hands full?

THere are socialist gay rights activists there are capitalist gay rights activists, there are some that are politically active in other areas, there are some that are not, the 2 are not related.
