ok, yesterday i saw some attractive white young woman walking her dog with his white stud man. some brown kid tried to feed her dog pizza and then the girl went insane and told the kid suck my dick and all sorts of things. the kid defended himself with his own verbal weaponry. a ton of brown people were watching. then she sent her white stud to intimidate (random college bro with american eagle polo #1231242). then the crowd dispersed. however the white woman was so mad she followed the brown people only to call the cops on them and accuse them of threatening or whatever. some kids got arrested.

my friend was telling me about how she is "concerned white woman", and that "concerned white woman" will turn brown and black people into john coffeys. concerned white woman gets mad and scared about the pettiest shit, especially when there are colored people around. concerned white woman, especially if she is attractive, is more credible to the cops that mud people.

There are a lot of concerned white men and women in North Oakland and the hills area. They are concerned that those of us in the flat areas will one day wake up and realize how absurd the levels of income inequality are in the US and we will have to "audit" their material goods to adjust this inequality. So why didn't these same people feel concerned when hundreds of Oakland teachers were faced with lay-offs? When Waste Management Inc. locked-out unionized waste-workers? When the subway (BART) and buses raised their fairs, sometimes 200%, because of budget cuts? Hmmm.

fwiw, though, the stereotype is not something that applies only to rich people at all. When I was growing up, I remember sitting at stop lights etc. with my mother (who is a worker)* and every time a black person would walk past the car, she'd lock all the car doors. I used to make facetious comments whenever she'd do it and she'd get embarrassed and eventually she stopped doing it (at least when I was with her), but I think it is disingenuous to present these prejudices as something which exclusively effect the rich.

*Add to that, also, that she was not consciously racist at all; she raised me with all the liberal universalist ideas of social equality etc. Some prejudices, though, are very subconscious and very deeply ingrained.
