Chapelle's comedy is irreverent as shit but it also pokes fun at just how fucked up our society is, and all the racism and poverty and everything. Just like all the best comedians, really.

He is. That sketch he did on The Chappelle Show about the blind black man who grew up believing he was white and ended up joining the KKK is one of the most brilliant and poignant pieces of satire I've ever seen. And that show is just funny in general.
