I'm Quin, from Oregon. I went to High School for a couple months, then I stopped, simply because I wasn't learning anything. The conformity of the seemingly brainwashed mobs was too overwhelming to sit with in a classroom. Now I teach myself.

Only recently have I become intensely focused on educating myself on Communism, and how it CAN be applied to life, contrary to popular belief. I can't put what I believe in a couple words, but I can say that I'm a proactive leftist, and I believe in the power of talking with people.

This looks like both an awesome learning resource and community, so I wanted in!

Welcome! Just wondering, what resources do you use to teach yourself?

Internet. There are a lot of informative blogs with intelligent authors, and databases with good stuff. (Specific sites and stuff if you want). I just have to check the sources. As far as news go, I read from Al Jazeera, Common Dreams, and Just Foreign Policy.

Public library. Books are something to take advantage of. I read a lot, I guess.

Also there's The Teaching Company, whenever I can get my hands on any of their lectures.

I hope that answers your question somewhat.
