Anyone notice El Che on a huge banner at the world cup, he was on one side, maradona on the other, it was awesome.

This was probably the BBC's report.

"Here hangs the face of the two great evils, the man who robbed glorious England of the world cup, and the ghoul who robbed the thousands of victims he killed of their lives"

:)

Itwas great to see though, but the constant talking of Nkorea team being killed by southgate and co pissed me off no end.

Is the Argentinian lpublic supportiveof cHE?

Lol, Che killing thousands?

That means one man with a rifle (or even less than that) killed atleast 2000 people during his short life.
I guess we are overpowered after all, I still don't get how a revolution hasn't been done yet.

Shouldn't this be in sports forum and while I am no fan of the BBC I doubt they'd be quite that stupid or nationalistic. But then they've said some pretty stupid things in the past.

Che is always at a football game, especially in Latin America and Europe.

Watch an AS Roma game and you will see Che, Fidel and much more on banners and flags. I really like how in Argentina, they immortalize their players in Che style photos and place them on banners.

Nothing amazing.

I've seen the Totenkopf (sp?) on banners as well.

You sure? The Roma stands are controlled by the right-wing groups. The oldest group there, Fedayn, are on the left but I haven't seen them with Che or Fidel banners.
