Just out of curiosity how many of you have heard of/follow the Law of Attraction? What it is is that all your mind's thoughts and images will sooner or later manifest itself into reality. You worry about getting a ticket, you will get a ticket eventually. If you focus on having a girl/boyfriend you will have one. Just thought I would let you all in on The Secret and voice your opinion on it.

What stereotype? It is a country quite commonly known to suffer from food shortages. Not all people in Ethiopia are without food, but large portions of the population are. Should I have chosen a lesser known starving populace in order to please your non-conformist attitude?

We could begin with how you're comparing the law of attraction to that of some people starving to death.

it's basically "Think positive and strive to your goals". But because she wants $$$ she packages it as some kind of magical thing. I never read the book but last I heard she was acting like she was some archaeologist sifting through ancient tomes of wisdom....and came upon this "secret" of power.:rolleyes:

I think there is some truth in the concept that if you are able to really formulate a clear picture in your mind of what you want to achieve then this can help you be more successful I attaining your goals. However I do have a problem with the way these ideas are packaged by the US as a kind of magical get rich quick scheme. It's like a new religion for the neo-liberals.
