Okay, I will be launching this. I'm apologising for the crappy quality of the map, but this game will be concentrated to Europe and North Africa anyway, so. It begins shortly before the French Revolution and will continue until the Revolutionary Wars have been won by France or the Bourbon Dynasty is restored.

RULES

Only French characters are playable. All other factions than factions within France or France itself are NPC. If you want to play as a historical character not on the list, that is possible, though all important players are needed for the game to commence. Turns are due every fourth day.

Try to roleplay!

I want to be one of the radicals... The one with the most radical ideas the better. I wish I could be Gracchus Babeuf (1st preference) or Jacques René Hébert.

ChrisK

How many more players do we need?

Dimentio
24th June 2010, 11:26
We basically need all the important political decision-makers, including LaFayette, Sieyés, Talleyrand, Louis XVI...

Il Medico
24th June 2010, 11:27
Peoples need to join this game. Emperor Titus demands it.

Comrade Gwydion
24th June 2010, 16:03
I would be Louis Philippe D'Orleans, but I suspect you need moderates and royalists more at this point, am I right?

Dimentio
24th June 2010, 16:13
Philippe d'Orleans was an important character.

ChrisK
24th June 2010, 19:19
Am I right in assuming that we disscus things on the forum and then pm you with our actions at the end of the turn?

ChrisK
28th June 2010, 08:02
I could also play the King. It would be contradictory playing. We'll call it role-playing dialectically.

Dimentio

Yes... but no. One player one character. :p

A day in the life of Marie Antoinette:

Louis: Happy birthday, Marie my love. I have this cake baked special for you.
Marie: Cake? Who do you take me for? A common fool?
Louis: Do not talk to your King that way. Don't make me go Henry the VIII on you...
Marie: Oh shut up you would never want to be without me.
Louis: Are you going to eat the cake or not? Or should I set it out for the commoners to eat?
Marie: Let them eat cake! I am trying to watch my figure. I want bacon!
Louis: Bacon? Are you mad? But that has so much fat!
Marie: And cake has sugar, the worst kind of carbs.
Louis: But bacon is hardly better.
Marie: Jesus Christ, Louis, you really are behind on the times. Have you never heard of low-carb? Sugar is bad, fat is good. Bacon is healthy especially for my beautiful skin.
Louis: *facepalm* Fine. You don't have to eat your own cake, I'll order some bacon.
Marie: You know, Louis, sometimes I wonder if you are a vegetarian.
Louis: How would you dare accuse me of such a Jacobin trait?
Marie: You just seem so sullen lately. So sickly and worn out and tired. You should get checked for anemia. And you objected to my love of bacon.
Louis: Oh, look at Dr. Marie the Bacon Lover, giving me the diagnosis, I bet this kind of medical breakthrough would make for a great play. They can call it "Antoinette" and have you as the rude insufferable "expert" you are. It would be about all your efforts to diagnose medical problems using information you pulled out of your derriere. Maybe I am sullen and tired because my people are rising against me? Did you ever consider that?
Marie: That actually would be a great show. And I am a wonderful actress. Oh, Louis, you're just not charming enough. They see you and think "rigid old elitist". Maybe you should step aside and let me rule and see how a real professional does it?
Louis: In your dreams.
Marie: Is the bacon ready yet?
Louis: *sigh*

Il Medico

For those waiting, Philippe is hosting a High Tea party with british cookies in the palace!

He'll be arriving himself after recovering from the foodpoisoning he got from eating to old saussages for breakfast last week.

Oh, his friend the Prince of Wales is also coming
