Trillions of dollars worth of iron and other precious metals found under the terrain of Afghanistan. Now the US will never leave considering this vast discovery of natural resources!

What do you guys think?

mineral resources, or the lack thereof, has never stopped a parasitic colonial power from taking more land they don't need--afterall, what natural resources does Ireland have, or Algeria? and yet, the French still took posession of Algeria (before oil was discovered) and the English still stole Ireland.

I don't think that this is in any way news. These deposits have been known about since at least the time of the Soviet occupation.

This is old news, and on that gets constantly rehashed when they need some happyspin for the home public.

They are re-re-re-releasing it now because they predict that the summer is about to get significantly worse in terms of violence and coalition troop deaths. Precisely for this reason, they had the CIA draw up plans on how to influence European public opinion for the war (we know this because of a leaked memo).
