So I just got back from running around in circles for an hour and my Dad picked me up. Well he's got super ultra conservative anti-worker politics and we argue a lot usually, though lately I've abandoned hope because it's just slamming my head against a brick-wall. Well he's goes off on this tangent about Cuba because he read something about it on Cato. He's all talking about how Fidel promised them all these freedoms and never delivered and took away their freedom (that was the word he used over and over again) and I'm just eviscerating this argument in my head. The freedom to exploit Dad, that's not the kind of freedom any sane person supports. But I didn't feel like speaking up because it always leads to a shitstorm within the household and I don't like hurting the rest of my family because of my arguments with Dad.

Then he goes off on this insane idea that if countries disagree enough they should just split and form two different countries. His example was the Civil War, I was like oh sweet christ just stop now. But he went on and on with various examples of how the dems of reps are supposedly so different we should just split the country into two smaller countries and go by that rule.

I was just thinking.. what the fuck, if we split countries every time we had a disagreement as minor as what the dems and reps disagree on every person would be a country, which is what conservativism is all about I suppose, rugged individualism and all that.

I just needed to vent >_> I hear these anti-worker politics day in and day out.

Welcome to my world. Me and my parents have done this daily for the past 4 years. I'm moving out now so I don't really care anymore though.

It sucks mang, but I've just decided that rocking the boat isn't worth it since there's no one to liberate, or anything to gain from it.

Yeah, as long as you live with your parents it is best to just go along with their nonsense since. You can't fight them all you want when you are independent.

Split the country in two? Create two party dictatorships? Fucking dumbass hypocrite.
