I was wondering because It's quite nihilistic and it's filled with different political opinions, what do actual punks think though because I'm interested to hear your opinion on it.:thumbup1:

I'm more into industrial, and it's always been pretty nihilistic. It's not quite mainstream enough to be "the new punk" though, and I don't think it will ever be since lots of it is really dark, dissonant, and abrasive.
While punk can be nihilistic, I think industrial has always been even more so. It's always been more hardcore than punk, IMO, but not that many people listen to it. I suspect it's because of "the gay techno shit"

depends because If you live in my area alot of people listen to hard trance, DNB, dub-step, "Happy" hardcore and Hardstyle. they seem to like Industrial just as much as any other "gay techno shit" after I introduce them to it though alot of the chemical warfare imagery puts the off as it's "depressing".

I really won't dwell on the "new punk" thing, though i believe electro-industrial is more nihilistic and political. I like :wumpscut:, the retrosic, Hocico, FLA, Skinny Puppy...
