Yesterday morning the PSNI delivered a written message to a local member of the IRSP which stated that "dissident republicans are going to carry out an attack on you." This comes against a back-drop of other threats issued by individuals, including a rapist, against other IRSP members in recent weeks which was challenged to their faces. The organisation these people were claiming to represent have now denied that these people are members. We are not sure, yet, if this latest 'threat' is connected to the others nor is there a great concern on our part given the caliber of the shower of shyte that exists in Strabane and who would call themselves or describe themselves as 'dissident' republicans.In recent times the IRSP in Strabane has challenged, both publicly, privately and through others, the use of pipe-bombs for personal reasons to resolve drunken disputes, the use of a known rapist and the abandoning of a pipe-bomb at a local play park for children and at a primary school.
In recent days the local 'R'AAD have denied that the pipe-bombs left at the park and school were theirs and have claimed that they believe that it may have been "dirty tricks" by state agents with the intention of igniting a feud between "the Irps and RAAD." Despite being adamant in their denials of allegations we have put to them we remain sceptical given their past history of covering up unsavoury actions and what we know on the ground. They have claimed that other 'shady characters' (their words which we'd agree with)who were once aligned to the dodgy North-West OnH have re-grouped and that it may be them who abandoned these pipe-bombs. Regardless of what is the truth we will not be found wanting in exposing and challenging the UDAish activities of whatever groupings and the caliber of some of these individuals such as the rapist.
