European imperialism at its finest breaks up a people by drawing a line between them. Conquer and divide was and still is standard policy. In theory we should support any group to have the right to self-determination, but in the same breath we cannot back nationalism of said group or we just replace old lines with new ones to fight over.

the kurd's would becountry is basicly based in iraq, turkey, syria and iran. tough luck for them i don't see them overwhelming 4 countries. i have heard that they are on the nutcase side of things too, but i wouldn't trust that too much. turkey has done alot of harm to the kurdish community and did something similar to what the british did to the irish that is talking kurd was illegal for awhile.

Seconded, they're nuts.
UN also reports they systematically recruit child soldiers.

The CPN (M) recruited child soldiers as well.

My main problem with the PKK are their tactics at gaining a restored Kurdistan. :blushing:

There's really nothing to support in the PKK, they've given up any 'marxism' that they once had when the USSR collapsed... they now basically cater to ethnic nationalism and have even sought the support of America

Tactics such as using child soldiers and the combat techniques as done by the PKK. ;)

Weren't the PKK's goal always based on nationalism?

I don't support the the PKK. Kurdish nationalism may have a good deal of justice on its side, but it's part of a neocon plan to divide and conquer the Middle East.

If anyone is deluded enough to support them, I suggest you don't say so here since they have been designated as a terrorist organization by the State Department and your communications on this board are not secure.

Most if not all "official" communist parties tied to Moscow or Being were and are.

yeah they always were but they dressed it up in marxist rhetoric, hence the name and also the flag which until 1996 displayed a hammer and sickle. This rhetoric has largely been abandoned now
