it seems that the yellow union (Uilm, Fim, Fismic and UGL) have signed the agreement and the FIOM hasn'. The situation will be critical now. The workers of Pomigliano will be threatened to the bone to surrender...we will see

against all the pressures, still only 62% of workers said yes to the agreement.
if we consider that many of them were directly thretened (many were forced to take a pic of the vote in orde to show their loyalties to the firm), if we consider that every paper and tv were for the agreement etc etc this is not a bad result.

struggles are ahead...

I participated in te general strike of friday and I have spoken with many comrades that participated in the demos all over Italy.

The strike was veri different from that of April, the mood has changed. Pomigliano did the trick. Workers were a lot more militant more confrontative. Many singed Pomigliano Pomigliano as to show where the bosses' offensive has suffered a setback.

I cannot tell much about Pomigliano itself for security reason, but I'm proud to tell that what happened in Pomigliano is also due to a strong growth of the influence of marxist ideas among the workers of the plant.

The battle in Pomigliano could be a turning point inside the italian working class and italian unions.

yesterday a rally of 800 workers and shopstewards of the Fiat group about Pomigliano and the future of the struggle. As always the bureaucracy wants to water down the determination of the workers...unfortunatelt for them in this battle marxists are very much present...

The Fiat issue, as in the other hot period of the history of class struggle in Italy is now entering a decisive stage.

The management of the FIat wants to annihilate the workers. they threaten to move the plants to Serbia and Poland so to force workers to surrender. they also threaten to dismiss the national contract going out from the bosses' association.

The results of this struggle will be fundamental for the italian workers for years to come.
