Anyone from our dear Americans following? Its a bit hard to follow from your stupid timezones, but thankfully we get replys on the next day.Im watching it, and enjoy the final a lot, lots of ups and downs, with players been the main event, many stars, but one champion ;)
I prefer Boston tbh, beside the green-white colors and the shamrock:), i like their style, its not like Lakers, theres Gasol and Kobe, pass and shoot, also Rondo turned to be my second favorite player, after Iverson, has some great moves and wears shirt #9:cool:
3-2 Bostons right now, maximum 2 games to go, GO BOSTONShttp://img142.imageshack.us/img142/682/asse45vj.gif (javascript:add("%20:'("))

The Celtics are my team. Go green! Plus Rondo's a Kentucky boy.

I've watched every game so far. Kobe was reeeaaally feeling it in game 5, but he got virtually no help from his teammates and was visibly frustrated by it (Gasol was the only other Laker in double figures, and he only had 11). As evidenced by the first 5 games, whoever plays better in the post, both rebounding and scoring, is going to win. Bynum was hurt in game 4 and 5 and it showed in the Laker's lack of offensive production and their inability to defend the Celtics.

Game 6 is going to follow the same rules, so if Bynum isn't healthy then Odom is going to have to come off the bench and have a big game, not just offensively but on the boards as well. I think the Lakers will get a huge performance from Gasol in game 6, and the Celtics bench will have trouble on the road. So I think Lakers win game 6, but the Celtics win game 7 and the series.

Rajon Rondo is also one of my favorite players, and I've liked Glen (Big Baby) Davis since he played college ball at LSU.

I see the Celtics bench as a lot better than anything lakers have to offer, from the games Celtics got lot more help generally from bench rather than Lakers.Game 4 iirc, the game was tied, 4th quarter and Celtics start with 4 bench guys from 1-2 points ahead they got it to 10 or so, and last 2-3 minutes, starters got in and finished it.
This series have their ups and downs, the ray allen show will stay in my mind, to continual games, the first one whenever he shots, from every position its in and the next one he is 0-12:blink: Thats why NBA is so interesting, most of the times score is close, and lots have a chance for the win.

yeah that was really interesting. Although that happens sometimes with players like Allen who rely on their jumpshot which can be inconsistent.

you're right, there's a lot of parity. However, game 6 is not going that way. the Lakers are up BIG at halftime.

Have missed the Uruguay-South Africa game, in order to see the 6th game, but now something tells me that i was wrong..I was seeing boting games all the time in WC, and great games in NBA, and now that i decided to watch the NBA game, Celtics were shit, couldnt dunk, couldnt lay-up, couldnt defend, and urugay scored 3!!Heh, maybe i have just bad luck.
Though im sure the final of finals will be better!!

I was on a plane all day today, who fucking won tonight?!? "Fucking" lakers fucking won, for 20 or so

It all gets decided tonight. I can't wait. I would pick the Celtics but since they'll be without Perkins, who is a key presence in the paint in combating the Lakers' length, I'm gonna pick the Lakers to win tonight. However I'll be rooting for Boston.

loooool, probably.

Anw, fucking DAMN, i stayed awake until fucking 7 am to see the match and see the Celtics loosing.:(They were ahead all that time, and screwed it in the end.Bryant is going to score at some point, dont sit and wait it.He wasnt having a great night, but when he was needed, he came in front and with Gasol and Artest scored critical points. While Celtics superstars, were avoiding shooting. You cant have ray allen, and pierce and letting rondo shoot the 3, nor having garnet and rondo taking the isolation..I said i like rondo, but he aint a scorer, he aint iverson:p Too bad they lost, but mehh, dont care and much, it was just making it more interesting supporting someone.:)

Actually, that's bullshit. The refs completely switched up the calls in the 4th and gave a bunch of phantom fouls and no-calls against the Cs. My favorite one was when KG was standing still with his arms drawn in and got called for a reach in foul on a Gasol shot.

The most critical one was the next to the last play when Kobe Bryant wrapped his arm around Rondo with 13 seconds left, which should have been an offensive foul but was instead called on Rondo.

But when you're Kobe, you have to poke someone's eye out to get called for a foul in crunch time.

Kobe does get a lot of calls. I don't think the refereeing was the deciding factor though, I think it came down to the Lakers' length in the post and the absence of Perkins for the Celtics. Boston was absolutely dominated on the boards, and that allowed the Lakers to stay in the game even though they were having an abysmal shooting night.

btw, fuck Ron Artest.

lakers are getting their asses kicked by the mavs!!!! cool result:)

The pathetic thing is that the refs are still pulling for the lakers. Even the nuthugging commentators complained about Kobe not getting called for offensive fouls, as in him always elbowing defenders out of the way to create space for his mid range.

Witness the end of the Lakers. They've been exposed for what they are - a bunch of pampered crybaby racists, rapists, and thugs who can't stand to look at each other, much less play 48 mins together on the court.

This is exactly why I stopped watching the NBA. It has the same level of honest competition as pro wrestling. Still though, it is fun seeing the POS Lakers lose even with the league doing everything it can to help them.

2-1 with yet another break. It has been some time to a final not knowing who to support. On the first hand we have Miami with spectacular players ,great to watch who against lots predictions managed to work together, and on the other hand we have some veterans who probably have the last chance to a title.I think Kidd and Dirk "deserve" a title, as well as Peja but then again...
Interesting games nonetheless, 4th quarters= gold:thumbup1:

I wanted the Mavs to be swept, but as long as they're beaten, I'm happy.

As a hometown Kings fan, I'd been rooting against Dirk ever since he was a teenager - but only because he was so d$#& good. (Though the Kings - especially the combo of Chris Webber and Peja Stojakovic - effectively shut him down in 2002 and 2004). For the first time in my life, I'm rooting for Nowitzki just because the Miami model spells doom for the likes of Sacramento... :(

I asked lebron for change for a dollar, and he gave me 75 cents. Said he didn't have a 4th quarter.

Well, there we have it. The Mavericks won the title- revenge on the Heat for 2006 all things considered. After all these years of trying, they finally got one, particularly for the veterans (Nowitzki, Kidd, Marion, Terry in particular I suppose. Hell, Stojaković too) it's a good day. This last game felt more like a regular season match though, lol.
