Hey all.

Okay, I'm currently having an argument with someone I used to consider a friend until he found out I was a Communist and I found out he's a Neo-Nazi, albeit a rather in-door Nazi.

He's not active and well, not very.. hard and can't stand up for himself.

While having an argument with him about how the Master Race is bullshit and Germanic blood is not superior.

He claimed this:

*the genetics of germans is superior, that is clear
*the best scientist of our time - german
*and they almost conquered the world

I'm stumped, how can I justify or throw something back to proove to him that no one's blood or genetics are better than another?

'Race' doesn't even exist in any scientific sense. Race is a social construct that once was linked directly to the nation (Eg. Scots, Irish, etc were all different 'races' from the English) and eventually came to be a distinction between 'The West' (excluding Slavs, Southern-Europe,etc) and the rest of the world eventually ending up as a skin-color based dichtomy between various 'races'. Race is a social construct that has evolved over time as a function of social structures to serve the need for expanding or perserving them (Ie. the case of National Unity, a justification for Imperialism,Slavery, etc) it is nothing but a 'grand narrative' to construct an identity that doesn't exist.

Yes to everything the comrade said about race being constructed. Hell people wouldn't have even considered themselves to be "German" until the 1800s - they would have first said that they were Prussian or whatever other state or group they were from.

the best scientist of our time - germanDid he mean Einstein? You know the guy who was a democratic-socialist and whose family background (and blood I guess in your friend's thinking) is Jewish?

If racism and nationalism weren't so disgusting, I could laugh at their ridiculous arguments.

Thank you, Comrade.

He sure as hell didn't reply to that one :>

On another note. I need some help with him, I mean - he's a good guy and all, but as far as I can see, people shouldn't be allowed to voice their fascist, boneheaded views on either the internet or through word.

I've tried and tried again to teach him, but it's come to a stand still.

I'm not going to just stop talking to him, that would be as stupid as ignoring fascist demos.

It's often really hard to convince people holding beliefs as irrational as race-based thinking. Figure out what motivates him, what is his drive behind his 'ideology'? Is it false class conciousness? Is it pure bigotry? Etc.

As he claimed, he thinks only for himself and his family, everyone else is lower than him, he's currently a member of the lower class, but even he claimed that if he was to become rich, he couldn't give a shit about anyone less wealthy than him as "I would of worked hard to get there".

To my reply was "I hate to break it to you, but those who work hard don't always get far".

There is a point when you have to drop people for their political views. If he insists with race-based and capital-supporting thinking through all your explanation and argument, it should be clear that he can't be changed. It's always said that friends shouldn't try to change each other, and should accept each other for who they are. This holds true only if they aren't an adamant fascist. Sorry for the harshness, but if you stick with him, you might get into a compromising mood for the sake of friendship.

Yeah, I've got to the point where he's not a friend at all, I don't want to be associated with someone who owns these views and as far as my revolutionary mind goes, he's nothing more than any of these other bonehead scum.

As far as my friendship with him, it's dissapeared, people change and let's move on.

Thank you, comrades.

German genetics are no more superior than other European genetics.

Einstein was Jewish.

The Mongols nearly did as well.

Some arguments you can use. :)

That is the problem with stupid arguments - they are so hard to debate against.

Wow. Not even Stormfronters plot and connive to shut people up like this. Wait, which one of you is the fascist again?

German genetics are no more superior than other European genetics.

Einstein was Jewish.

The Mongols nearly did as well.

These are horrible rebuttals which will set you up for failure. Your opponent will simply downshift from Aryanism to a more general white Racism - which actually respects Asians. The fascist will probably just respond with the following:

1. "perhaps, but other Europeans are also white. What about black people?"

If he says this, he knows you're trying to sidestep the issue of other races - and will shift the discussion onto them entirely as a result. That 'but but but other Europeans!' argument wont work here, as if it ever did to begin with.

2. "Einstein was only part Jewish."

He will only say this if he dislikes Jews. However if he likes Jews and simply considers them white, what then?

3. But Asians are also smart. What's you're point?

Again, most racists respect Asians. You'll likely get no argument from him regarding them.

If you can't win your debate, even with help from this website, then you may need to reexamine your position.

No they aren't. I just debated 3 of them a minute ago.

I wouldn't even bother justifying any of those arguments with a dispute.
To say "Einstein was Jewish" still provides fodder to his argument that race means anything.

i'd say just ignore him. he'll end up digging ditches somewhere and he wont know why.
