If someone defines themselves as "Right Wing Extremist", what does it mean? What kind of political views do they believe in? Surely they cannot be an anarchist as well? This guy is confusing me. Thanks in advance.

To me, I'd say the term extremist is generally used to connotate someone who'd use violence to achieve their end goals. technically, every world government at that point is extremist, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
Right Wing extremist though? it means they believe in racial superiority and the disenfranchisement of others who don't agree with their views, and they support the twinning of capitalism and the state (fascism).

Ah thanks for explaining. That does NOT sound good at all. So Fascism is on the most extreme side of the right wing then?

Yes. Fascism is about as far right as you can get. whereas, Communism is the ownership of the means of production by the people, Fascism is the ownership of the means of production by a few (and state enforced by law).
You can see now, why peabrained nazis are so stupid for believing in this shit.

I wouldn't say that those are necessarily aspects of fascism. I would argue that a fascist ideology entails corporatism and a strong belief in hierarchy, nationalism is usually present as well.

Do a search for Dr. Lawrence Britt's 14 Defining Characteristics of Fascism. (I can't post links, otherwise I'd direct you there.)
Fascism: What It Is and How To Fight It (http://www.marxists.org/archive/trotsky/works/1944/1944-fas.htm)
Of course it should be read in the historical context of rising fascism worldwide, but it does offer a good analysis.

In compliance with the Querfront-strategy, some right wing extremists started blabling about what they call "national-anarchism" ... it's meant to confuse and sound left-wingy... don't let yourself be fooled! :)
Check Wikipedia etc for more info.

That's an interesting wiki article. It brings to mind the American militiamen who refuse to recognise Federal control. Perhaps they look at anarchism in too narrow a sense, thinking it simply means a lack of central governmental control, which is what they espouse.

Sometimes a radical version of American "libertarianism" can very themselves as being anarchists. Check out some of the participants in the Libertarian Party's "Free State Project," New Hampshire is full of these types. Often times they even appropriate anarchist imagery! Check out the Free Keene folks to get an idea of what I'm talking about. It's based on a very limited understanding of anarchism as being one who is opposed to the state--and that's it! Although, I think anarchism has been susceptible for this sort of individualist identity for sometime now, especially in the United States.
"Anarcho"-Capitalist sorts like Murray Rothbard certainly seem to fall into what could be called "right-wing extremist."
As others mentioned, it may also be an allusion to fascism... although a fascist would hardly describe themselves as an anarchist!

lol, yeah some neo-nazis confuse themselves with being anarchists or whatnot but due to their racist ideology they are about as far right as you could possibility get.

Okay I will do a search for that. Thank you.

Yes i knew there was something fishy going on! Thanks, just curious though, why do they want to sound left-wingy? In my case, i think the guy i was on about is just a bit confused about his views!

What is the name of the article? Should I search for "American Militia" on wiki?

Thanks much for that explanation.
What kind of argument could one use against these types to convince them that they aren't entitled to be called anarchists?

That's pretty hard. Some of them even go as far as to appropriate anarchist history onto themselves and herald themselves as the true anarchists, there's a bunch of these people in Youtube, Caplan-inspired idiots probably. Apart from being hard it's also futile, since they will not particularly care what you say to them unless you tell them they are right and awesome.

The article is called "Militia_movement" on Wikipedia. That'll give you some examples of rightwing extremists in America.

Anarchism is an attempt to abolish hierarchies. Capitalism itself is a form of hierarchy and therefore must be eliminated. Freedom and equality must coexist and they are not mutually exclusive. So "anarcho-capitalisism" is a misnomer and doesn't really exist. They are not actually anarchists. Libertarians yes but not anarchist.
