stands for Korean pop. I don't know if you'll like this, but it's a mashup of 30 K-Pop songs. I found it on YouTube and I can't stop watching it lol.

I am just curious if any of you are a fan of K-Pop artists/bands...I just like some songs, but I haven't really listened to a lot of it. maybe I'm wrong but it seems like K-Pop is becoming popular outside of Korea....

K-pop is no better than J-pop or the pop from the U.S. that it's based on.
There's the rare breakthrough, but most of it is throw away cookie cutter crap.
The song below is, in my opinion, one of the few exceptions. Even though it has more of a techno/dance sounds than most K-pop, it still falls under that category.

It was banned from being broadcast in Korea almost immediately after it's release because it is "inappropriate."
The song, and its content, is perhaps even more notable because of Ivy's history. After emerging as a fairly popular singer she was struck by a "scandal." Her ex-boyfriend blackmailed her with a sex tape the two had apparently made sometime in the past. The tape never emerged, but Korea society being as it is, she was condemned and had to step away from music. She returned with this.
There is some Korean indie music that has the potential to be 'popular music' while still maintaining it's creativity.
