Thomasludd suggested this on another thread

can we make a directory/list for weird groups that appropriate leftist-revolutionary imagery/ideas? it would be a useful list of people/groups to avoid (and laugh about sometimes).

In light of this I thought I'd make a list of groups (or at least websites) that are ostensibly communist but are actually far right wing. As a criteria I used open racism, hyper-nationaliism, sexism, or homophobia. These are groups which would be good to avoid but might also be good for a few laughs.

John Paul Cupp

http://johnpaulcupp.blogspot.com/

In addition to his job as chairman of the North American Songon Education Society (Jurcheist), Mr. Cupp also upholds white supremacy, homophobia, and traditional roles for women. Apparently he's also recently converted to Islam. Busy guy!

http://communistrevolutionaryactionparty.blogspot.com/

CRAP, the Communist Revolutionary Action Party. The site of Micheal Rienzi. His Marxian analysis disguises a thinly veiled Nazi fetish. He calls for a "new 1937" in which books by Hardt & Negri, Micheal Albert, Marxist-Humanists, and the Frankfurt School would be burned. He has a page explaining why he's not a nazbol.

http://shubelmorgan.wordpress.com/

Shubel Morgan. Named after one of the pseudonyms of abolitionist leader/revolutionary John Brown. Maoist-Third Worldist. Apparently a MIM spin off; they use the same bizarre spelling but tone it down a bit. They call for the deportation of the population of the US. Okay, but I hope they send me someplace that's warm, I'm sick of New England weather.

http://mimdown.wordpress.com/2009/06/20/dont-get-fooled-again-by-the-kennedy-kerry-avakian-obama-counterrevolution/

The blog of Henry Park, apparently the last remaining comrade of MIM. He combines interesting analysis of US and world politics with extreme paranoia and pages of bizarre, cryptic metaphors. The US ruling class has tried to lynch him 4 times, federal agents follow him to his favorite Harvard Square coffee shops, and he was recently offered a job by a company which he thinks is a CIA front (which he considered taking). Oh yeah, Bob Avakian, Obama, and John Kerry are involved in an elaborate conspiracy over Iran. Its sad-an intelligent guy descending into clinical paranoia.

National Maoism

http://maoist.wikia.com/wiki/Patriotic_Workers_Party

A "project" by Jacobin1917. Filled with an extreme nationalism fetish, only J can't figure out exactly which nation state he wants to afix his nationalism to. On one page he allies w/the US militia movement and Calvinism, on another he's an extreme Third Worldist and calls for the destruction of the US.

North Star Republic

http://northstarrepublic.com/

Calls for the succession of the northern US Midwest. Not sure if its a legit project. If it is, my apologies. Posters on the alternate history forum thought it was an FBI front group. If people don't think it should be here, I'll delete this.

Mmmm...you may disagree w/Trotskyist tactics or strategy, that's your right, but none of the Internationals listed are openly racist, nationalistic, sexist, or homophobic. I used this as the criteria for my list.

I didn't mean to sound like a sectarian Spartacoid. I meant this to be a list of groups which are outright loopy.

Its easy to post a wikipedia link in a spirit of sarcasm but can you back this up with anything? I did say that I would retract my characterization of an organization if someone could show I'm wrong. Can you do the same?

Does this guy count?

Constantin von Hoffmeister - supports an interesting range of figures running the gamut from Lenin to Corky Gonzales to Hitler to Netanyahu. Also writes poetry.

Thanks, I was looking for this. The original title of his site was "National Marxism". He seems to be a pro-Israeli nazbol. He had a page with a picture of Anne Frank mixed with SS symbolism. He has a poem saluting Lenin as a "noble Viking warrior"
